By far the most popular way to a better Wi-Fi system is by replacing the wireless signal on your router or extenders with a modern mesh system. Essentially this gives you better WiFi without the huge disruption of fitting network cables. Beware though, all mesh systems are not equal. I only install high quality units from a well established manufacturer because anything less is usually a false economy.
Depending on the distances involved, a good quality mesh system, can in many situations also cover outbuildings and garden offices as well as the home. If you have installed ethernet wiring as part of the office build then that widens the choice of system even further.
I only cover a local area and so have local knowledge - useful when it comes to 4/5G coverage and other emerging broadband options. If there are problems I wont have to travel miles to fix. I've been doing this for 13 years.
I've always openly published my prices wherever I can, but it seems I'm very much in the minority that do this. Why is that? There's certainly no hard-sell with me either as my background is technical, not sales.
There's a huge choice of products and I'm always evaluating new ones, so I try to match the best system to the requirements and budget. I'll explain the pros/cons of each and where possible give you a couple of options.
If you have spent hours researching Wi-Fi products, watching endless youtube videos and listening to well-intended advice from friends, family or the local IT expert down the pub, then in all honesty you probably won't benefit much from what I do. No offence intended - I like to research things too - but with all that free advice it's going to be hard to listen to any alternative suggestions I might have!
If you have the view that running miles of ethernet cabling in your house is the only way to get a half decent Wi-Fi signal then I'm not going to be the best match for your requirements. Ethernet is certainly nice to have and indeed is essential in very large properties, but as I only do relatively small and simple cabling jobs, you would be better off contacting a cabling specialist.
